Dr Laura Schinbein

Originally from Ottawa, Laura quickly fell in love with the Bow Valley as a young adult. She spent many seasons adventuring and working in the mountains in varying capacities prior to starting her medical training. Laura completed both medical school and a Family Medicine residency through the University of Calgary.

Laura practices full-scope Family Medicine, with special interests in breastfeeding medicine, women’s health, and preventative care. She is passionate about working collaboratively with patients and families to find solutions that balance evidence with individual goals.

Laura is a proud Mom to two young kids and a spirited German Shepherd. Whether hiking, mountain biking, or canoeing, Laura enjoys spending her spare time outdoors with her family.

In addition to her family practice, Laura is also accepting referrals for breastfeeding medicine and lactation. She is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with a passion for supporting families through their infant feeding journey. Whether you are pregnant, or in the throes of infant-toddler life, Laura is dedicated to working with you towards your feeding goals.
