Dr Mitchell MacDougall
Originally born in Fort McMurray, Mitchell grew up on the east coast in Nova Scotia and Labrador where he completed his BSc in Biology at Acadia University.
He eventually made his way to Toronto for medical school, and returned west to University of Alberta where he completed his residency in Family Medicine after completing his first year in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He worked in Edmonton in full scope family medicine after graduation, and moved to Canmore in July 2024 with the hopes of returning to a small town practice with more access to all that the mountains have to offer.
Mitchell is interested in all things family medicine, including prenatal care, obstetrics, pediatrics and is planning to continue his work as a hospitalist and surgical assistant.
Outside of work, you might find him hiking with his wife Allison and dog Finnegan, camping, or playing video games on the weekends.
